Wine Characteristics

Searching for a new wine to try is easy if you know its characteristics. Use the "Wine Web" below to help you in your search.

Dryness - How dry or the opposite would be sweet a wine tastes.

Intensity - Measures how intense the flavors of a wine are. Water, for example would have a zero intensity.

Fruitiness - The strength of the fruit's flavor. Grape juice would have 100% fruitiness.

Oakiness - Longer aging in oak barrels strengthens this flavor.

Acidity - Think of the refreshing zip of citrus acidity in fresh fruit.
